Firstly you are loading the GPIO pin quite heavilly. Dan Bullard 228,291 views 10:05 Simple LED Driver Circuit - Duration: 3:42.

The connection circuit is incredibly simple. At the half way point, the capacitor is being drained at 10 mA rate, and that will happen for 12.5 µs. (10mA)(12.5µs)/22µF = 5.7mV. I didn't check the transistor specs, but they may not like the inrush current. –jippie Aug 27 '13 at 6:39 The caps are a mistake. The maximum current of led is 200mA and forward voltage is 1.8V. I ended up with ~1V on the base of the TIP122 and some current was allowed to flow. –Hair_of_the_Dog Aug 26 '13 at 22:21 I updated the circuit diagram

  1. Even running voltage source to resistor to LED, pure and simple, nothing is happening.
  2. This chip is a general purpose 4-channel operational amplifier that works in the wide voltage range - from 3V to 32V.

You can get them very cheaply direct from China via eBay, like this one (which is similar to the one I used): http://www.ebay.com/itm/1w-LED-Driv...793?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58a08ba6b9 One point is that if you want a Led Constant Current Driver Currently sole owner of a property. a TO-220 package would be better) Opamp should be rail to rail in/out if possible to make things easier. Is the rest of current provided by the transistor.

It can run at 40 MHz instruction rate, which is also the maximum PWM clock for the regular PWM outputs (there is a special high speed PWM peripheral that can go I put in a bigger cap on the frequency side and have introduced flicker in the led to prove the frequency adjustment works. I have tried placing a resistor (20K) in line with the negative feedback to see if I was having a current bias problem, but that didn't help. C1 and R2 low pass filter the individual current pulses so that the current thru the LED is the average, not the individual on/off pulses.

Looking around this forum and other sources I've gone for a design which I've seen in a few places and then as luck would have it I found a circuit on click for more info Do us a favor -- won't you? #2 Like Reply May 29, 2013 #3 Viking Thread Starter New Member May 21, 2013 4 0 Yes I've been looking for it, Lm8502 Quoting a typo: Do I really have to do "sic", or can I just fix the sentence? Constant Current Led Driver Circuit Diagram At the very least it should be cooled (Pmax = 1.2W for a case temperature of 25C, which is optimistically low). –Wouter van Ooijen Sep 23 '11 at 11:04

C# programming on macOS At what point do toys (like Buzz and Mr. If we stabilize the voltage drop at the resistor, we will simultaneously stabilize the current flowing through the LED. HamRadio2008 81,645 views 1:50 High Power LED Tutorial #1 - How to Drive 1W and 3W LEDs from 12 Volts - Duration: 7:56. The operation amplifier has a peculiar state, when the voltage difference at its inputs is equal to 0, which is achieved by changing the output voltage of the amplifier. This can be achieved by low pass filtering the PWM output, then using that to drive the LED.

This was set up to output 1mA per 10mV in, so 3.5V produces 350mA (at the opamp input it is actually 1mA per 1mV, the resistor divider divides the DAC input Sign in 1 Loading... Scott Harden 3,896 views 3:58 EEVblog #600 - OpAmps Tutorial - What is an Operational Amplifier? - Duration: 49:32.

With 15k, I would expect the circuit to run SOME current through the LED's, but maybe not enough to make them very bright. –mkeith Jan 21 at 1:21 @mkeith

The duty cuycle adjustment also seems good with the led dimming and turning off as well as going to full brightness. A different change, which would be much more complex, unfortunately, would be to change the circuit so that the input to the opamp never gets close to 0v. Loading...
