I have seen this error on servers with more than one NIC where the cable for one of them was disconnected. The following message appears on the server consoles of two of our NW3.12 servers: "LAN Driver loopback error detected. What I plan to do now is to bring down one of the servers to pin point the problematic server. Case 2: Unplugged the server patch cable and the server came up without any errors. Also, it could be an outdated Lan Driver.
